PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:

At our annual welcome-back luncheon on September 17th, we were pleased to see some old friends and some new members. Welcome to Cindy Boudreau who is also the new Forest Hill Association assistant and secretary. Also, welcome back to Rong Wang who has decided to return to the Garden Club and help with membership.

Our luncheon’s success was due to the combined efforts of Louise Bacigalupi, Darlene Hartman, and Helen Scholten who prepared and served the chicken salad luncheon. The traditional, colorful, fuchsia plants, artful arrangements, and table settings were done by Nancy Hagosian and Anna Bolechowski. The guests were greeted by Lonnie Wong, Tony Buckley, and Carol DeLucchi. Our kitchen helper wasn’t able to come so we had a temporary committee consisting of : Sally Kipper, Helen Scholten, Lonnie Wong, and Louise Bacigalupi who pitched in and had the kitchen in order in a very short time. Thanks to all the caring members who make the Garden Club meetings a pleasure.

Reminder: If you have not sent your annual dues for 2007-2009, please send your check for $40.00 check payable to FHGC to Carol DeLucchi, 401 Castenada Avenue. The deadline is September 30 for your names to be included in the FHGC 2007-2009 ROSTER.
