NOVEMBER 2 0 1 1 BULLETIN 
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE: We started October with a wonderful tour of Flora Grubb Gardens where many of us came home happily with trunks full of plants and succulents. We thank Eva Monroe for organizing this event. We ended the month with a big bash celebration of the Garden Club’s 80th anniversary. It was a joyous occasion where we honored our club’s most senior member, Maxine Dickson. A photo book was compiled to capture Maxine’s over 50 years involvement with the club. It was presented to her as a gift. Our guests, men and women, had lots of fun poring over the dozen old history books we put out on display, recalling past events with pleasurable nostalgia. All the past-presidents loved wearing their golden bow-ribbons. I haven’t seen so many oldgoats gathering in one room since the last “old-goats” party. Credits go to the three amazing ladies: Louise Bacigalupi, Darlene Hartman and Helen Scholten for making this remarkable celebration possible. Thanks to Eva Monroe for the dazzling fall bouquet. It was made especially for Maxine to take home with her, and she was delighted! November is the month we will do community service with the Food Drive and then go on a field trip to the much “yelped” about, the incredible Marin Farmers’ market.
