PRESIDENTS' MESSAGE: Our February program was a huge success. Close to 40 members and guests came to hear the story of the libertine and seducer GIACOMO CASANOVA, but the star of the event was Carol Porter, the presenter, and docent from the Fine Art Museum of San Francisco. We were captivated by her well prepared presentation and her enchanting story telling style. She took us on a fabulous grand journey through the eighteenth century Europe and beyond, following the trails of Casanova's many conquests. Many thanks to Nancy Butte for not only hosting the event but for providing the delicious and beautiful petit sweet tarts, which were personally handcrafted by her husband Bruce Sidner. We enjoyed them tremendously. We would like to thank Anna Bolechowski and Nancy Hagosian for the gorgeous flower arrangements, and the impressive mini exhibit of Casanova related artifacts. Last but not least, our thanks go to dear Old Goat Mel Bachmeier for helping with all the heavy lifting of setting up and cleaning up for the event. The March program promises a fabulous treasure hunt for hard to find items like beautiful original paintings, exquisite handcrafted jewelry, and many more... Come early for the best selection. — Yen Bachmeier and Kathe Farrell
