PRESIDENTS' MESSAGE:

Welcome back to a new year in the Forest Hill Garden Club and (ultimately) a newly renovated Forest Hill Clubhouse. As you probably are aware, we expect the Clubhouse to become available for Homeowner Association activities sometime in the months of October/ November, this year. So, until then, as we wait for the new Clubhouse to become ready, we have an opportunity to meet for our first few general meetings in other locations, including the lovely homes of some very special Garden Club members who have graciously opened their homes in the interim for our general meetings.

The Garden Club board meeting is September 9th, Monday, at Helen Scholten’s house at 10:00 a.m.

Beginning with our general meeting in September—our always favorite annual chicken salad luncheon—we are pleased to let you know that we will be meeting in the home of Marica Salma. This mid-September general meeting will occur in the beautiful weather we all look forward to in San Francisco’s wonderful autumn. Mark your calendar for a truly special luncheon in great autumn weather expected on September 16th. Don’t forget to RSVP to Marica by, Monday, September 9, to join the fun and enjoy a delicious chicken salad luncheon. This year promises to be filled with camaraderie, fun, and new experiences for everyone. We look forward to seeing you at the very special events being planned for us all to enjoy this year and to rekindling those fond long-time friendships.

October 21st: This year Annual Bookfest will be at Bookshop West Portal, 80 West Portal Avenue.

Membership Dues:
If you haven't sent in your membership dues, now is the good time to do so to get your name included in our roster booklet.
The FY 2013-2014 roster will be printed and distributed at the October general meeting.
